Targeted Facial Rejuvenation with Revanesse Versa

Revanesse Versa (Versa) is a hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler used to smooth wrinkles and restore volume with precise, natural-looking results. FDA-approved for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds—such as nasolabial folds—Versa integrates with your skin’s moisture to replenish volume and soften lines with minimal downtime.

How Versa Works

Hyaluronic acid is a molecule your body naturally produces to attract and hold water. Versa uses a balanced HA gel that is engineered for smooth integration and predictable results. Many patients experience less swelling compared with some fillers, and improvements are visible right away, then refine as the filler settles.

Common Treatment Areas

  • Nasolabial folds (smile lines)

  • Marionette lines (lines framing the chin)

  • Lips and lip border enhancement

  • Fine lines around the mouth (perioral lines)

  • Cheek support and contour

  • Under-eye hollows/tear troughs (off-label; patient selection is important)

What to Expect at Your Visit

  1. 1

Consultation: Dr. Egan evaluates your goals, facial anatomy, and medical history to recommend the right filler and technique.

  2. 2

Preparation: Photos may be taken. Topical numbing or other comfort measures are available.

  3. 3

Precise Injections: Small amounts of filler are placed strategically to refine contours and soften lines.

  4. 4

Aftercare: Expect brief redness, swelling, or tenderness. Most patients resume normal activities the same day.

Results and Longevity

You will see immediate improvement after treatment, with optimal results typically visible within 1–2 weeks as any swelling resolves. Depending on the area treated and your metabolism, results commonly last about 6–12 months. Maintenance touch-ups help sustain your outcome.

Safety and Recovery

  • Common, temporary effects: redness, swelling, bruising, and tenderness at injection sites.

  • Less common risks: lumps, asymmetry, infection, or intravascular injection (a medical emergency).

  • Because Versa is an HA filler, it can be adjusted or dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed.

  • Follow all aftercare instructions and report unexpected symptoms promptly.

Versa vs. Collagen-Stimulating Fillers

Versa (HA) provides immediate, adjustable volume. Dr. Egan also offers Radiesse (calcium hydroxylapatite) and Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid), which stimulate your own collagen for gradual, longer-term improvement. Radiesse can sharpen lower-face contours and rejuvenate the hands; Sculptra gradually restores facial volume over a series of sessions. These biostimulatory fillers are not used for lips or the delicate under-eye area. During consultation, Dr. Egan will advise whether HA fillers, collagen stimulators, or a combination best fits your goals.

Is Versa Right for You?

  • You want a smoother, refreshed look with little to no downtime.

  • You prefer immediate results that can be fine-tuned.

  • You are in good general health without active skin infections at treatment sites.

  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • You understand benefits, risks, and realistic outcomes.
