EarWell infant ear correction system

EarWell infant ear correction system before & after

The EarWell infant ear correction system was FDA approved in 2010 for non-surgical correction of infant ear deformities.  Prominent or misfolded ears affect between one-fifth and one-third of infants.  These defomities can lead to teasing in childhood if not corrected.

Until recently, the only treatment was corrective surgery but now a new alternative, the EarWell infant ear correction system is available.  The EarWell infant ear correction system is a non-invasive, custom-fit plastic molding device which can reshape the cartilage of the ear in infants.

In early life, circulating maternal estrogen left over from pregnancy gives infants’ cartilage high flexibility.  Applying the device for six to eight weeks immediately after birth serves to re-position the malleable ears and permanently corrects their shape.

Dr. Egan is the only specialist in the South Bay and Orange County who is trained to use this device on your infant.  If you have concerns about your infant’s ears, please call today to schedule a consultation as the best results are obtained when the system is placed within a week after birth.
